Current Position

Alberto Ferrante has been a postDoc researcher at the ALaRI institute of the University of Lugano, Switzerland since 2006.

 

 

Current Activities

Alberto has been performing research on communications security and security for mobile devices.

He has also been involved in technology transfer activities and he has been involved in industrial research projects financed by the Swiss Innovation Promotion Agency (CTI), both as researcher and as project leader.

Alberto is a founding member of OSLab, the competence center on open source of Università della Svizzera italiana.

 

Education

He obtained his PhD in Computer Science from University of Milano, Italy in 2006. He obtained his MsC (Laurea degree) in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2002 and the Degree of Master Of Engineering in Embedded Systems Design from the ALaRI Institute in 2001.

 

Other Interests

His main interests, outside research, are photography and music.
