bondus is a status publisher and tracker program. It bonds people together by informing each other on their current status. It adopts the publishing/subscribing idea that is used in technologies such as RSS and Calendar sharing.
The need for bondus arose from our busy program manager Umberto Bondi, who has also turned out to be the inspiration for its name.

Running
If you downloaded tar.gz file, make sure you have JRE >1.6. Extract bondus by
$ tar zxvf Bondus-releaseX-buildX-allplatforms.tar.gz
Under Windows, if java is in your path, you can simply double-click on Bondus.jar to run the program.
Under Linux, Windows, Solaris or Mac operating systems, to run the project from the command line, go to the folder where Bondus.jar is located and type the following:
$ java -jar Bondus.jar
You may also use bondus-directory/bin/runBondus.sh file after modifying it appropriately.

- I want my status to be set as Not connected automatically whenever I quit bondus, is it possible?
- How can I export/import subscriptions?
- I'm a Mac user, why doesn't 'minimize to system tray' option work?
- I forgot my bondus password, what do I do?
- Yes, go to Options>Preferences and check 'Set status to Not connected on quit'.
- You can carry around bondus-installation-directory/data/subscriptions.xml file to import/export your subscriptions.
- Because JDIC doesn't support Mac for system tray utilities.
- Clear the username field in bondus-installation-directory/data/user.xml file as
username=""
and restart.
