|Ciao! I am
Francesco Regazzoni. I am tenured Assistant Professor 1 (UD1) in Security by Design at University of Amsterdam, (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) and group leader at Università della Svizzera italiana (Lugano, Switzerland).
I did my master at Politecnico di Milano (Milano, Italy) and my PhD at ALaRI Institute of Università della Svizzera italiana (Lugano, Switzerland).
My research activities are mainly focused on security. In particular I am interested in security of embedded systems and cyber-physical systems (especially side channel attacks), hardware trojans, post-quantum cryptography, lightweight cryptography, and desing automation for security. I am also interested in operating systems and hardware/software codesign.
I have been postdoctoral researcher at the Crypto Group of the Université catholique de Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium), at ALaRI Institute of Università della Svizzera italiana (Lugano, Switzerland), and at Faculteit Elektrotechniek, Wiskunde & Informatica of Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) (Delft, The Netherlands)
I have been collaborating with NEC Labs America (Princeton, NJ, USA), where I have been visiting researcher for fifteen months. Additionally, I have been visiting researcher for six months at COmmunication Security (COSY) of Horst Gortz Institute for IT Security at Ruhr University of Bochum (Bochum, Germany), and visiting researcher for six months at the Laboratoire d'architecture de processeurs at EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland) under a collaboration grant of European Network of Excellence on High Performance and Embedded Architecture and Compilation.
